CV Joint Problem?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2006 Fab vRS with 23k on the clock. Had a Superchip remap about 4k ago and just this week I have noticed a knocking noise that I can feel through the clutch pedal when on full lock. My dad has said it is probably the CV joint. I have looked at the rubber seals and there is no sign of any damage or leakage. Has anyone had the same problem and how much does it cost to get fixed? Could this definitely be attributed to the remap?

I have a 2001 SDi, and the cv joint (nearside) has been replaced twice. Last time it cost £90. The first time I ignored a slight knocking noise when turning on full lock, and it quickly got very loud when turning any sharp bend to the left. The second time I got it done as soon as the knocking started.
