MPG figures for Vrs TDI Estate?

Featured Replies

just a quick poll to guage an honest MPG figure around town?

I had a 55 Fabia Vrs a few years ago with great MPG. I was just wondering what the Octy was like in comparison? I am 99% sure that I will get one next week regardless....I just need to convince her indoors!

Thanks for the input

Cheers

The worst I get is 40mpg, booting it in winter. The best is low 50s, easy drive in summer. I find the cold weather knocks off about 5mpg. This is on my 10 mile commute, a fair bit of stop start.

Thankyou guys

She has agreed!

I just hope I can resist the temptation of thrashing her around (the car!)

Hi mate. I get about 48mpg on average. Thats a mix between urban and motorway. A fill of diesel usually goes around 580 miles. The engine is the CR one.

My average overal is 46mpg for a DSG CR estate. But when I get stuck in traffic in paris the worst I have seen is 28mpg average for the trip. normally comes out at about 42mpg driving around town 57mpg doing 70mph and 40 to 45mpg getting a riggle on.

Hi,

I seem to be settling around 38 - 40. Fast out of town driving.

Longer runs 43-45.

I am v happy with these given my driving style, about 10mpg more than my old 3.0cdti vectra managed.

My average over the last 2000 miles or so is 45mpg, which is a mixture of short drives to work and longer runs on motorway and A roads. Best I've ever managed was 58mpg on a motorway run through rush hour (so lower average speed than normal). These figures are from the trip rather than measuring it myself. I've found the mpg has improved now the weather's warmer, but on a really hot day it drops if the aircon is working hard! I've got a 59 plate with 4000 miles on the clock now and CR engine
