After several visits to my local Skoda dealer and much bartering over the price I am about to seal the deal on Saturday (if the dealers goalposts havent mooved).The model chosen is the SE 1.6 TDI105bhp DPF

My dilema is that I need rear parking sensors because of tight parking on my drive.Origionally I was going to have them fitted at the factory giving me the 'on screen' display. Unfortunately , because of the 8-12 week delivery the dealer has suggested that the px value of my car will devalue about £5-£600 because there are none of that spec and colour available for imediate delivery. So my finall hope for the deal is to see if there are any Octavia Elegance imediately available -- which will give me the rear sensors that i need + a few xtra bits and pieces. FINGERS X.

BOTTOM LINE -- What a bonus finding this site, I am most impressed allready :yes:

Hey Gowers, you getting the car from SG Skoda? Only reason why i ask is that i too have just taken the plunge for my 1st skoda. I was suposed to pick it up today but the dvla have delayed things slightly. I bought an x demo octavia VRS estate and it has all the toys, all but parking sensors. Skoda have been great though and fitted them for me this week (the ones like you get ion the factory) and it will also display on the screen. SG have been great so far with the deal, got a good prioce for my car and i havent had to wait for the exact car i want as it was already waiting for me!
