would original bluetooth work on FL?

Featured Replies

Hi All.

Some may remember that VRStu did a group buy and imported some skoda factory fit bluetooth units a few years back. Mine has been in both my L&K and my current VRS but with the new FL VRS using BAN in parts does anyone know if the original factory kit will work on the new model and plugged into a bolero? (mines currently running on an MFD2)

I'm about 99% sure it will work fine as I know someone who has the GSMII in his golf with the RCD510 which is the VW version of the Bolero (same kit, just VW graphics at startup and red instead of green)

I wouldn''t mind knowing the definitive answer to this question as I'm in a similar position (OEM in pre FL vRS and new vRS on order). I have a feeling that it might not be that straightforward, as there are different GSM II b/t kits available (differentiated as A, B, C etc. I think) and I'm not sure which one I have.

Where can I get my hands on one of these bluetooth units to fit to my 58 octy??

I have the newer unit which doesn't really suit my car. If you want i'll do a straight swap for the older unit ( provided it works on MFD3)
