Now I know the new-money people that drive Range Rovers, X5 BMWs and Bentleys like their wheels black but I'm not so sure about that on my Yeti's winter tyre set. Does anyone know if you can order them in silver? I saw a VW Caddy van today with silver 16" steel wheels and also this VW T5 set on eBay in silver. With all the complexities of offsets, insurance and sizes I've decided to order them with the car from the dealer so will pick them up the same day as I get the car. But if you can get them in silver it saves me having to paint a set of brand new wheels!

Or should I just chilax with the boom-boom streetset and get wiff it and keep 'em wheels black with black centre caps?

Why not get alloys for winter too?

I selected alloys primarily for the fact that they are exactly round and run true - not for looks. The price difference is not all that much and smooooooooth running is just as important in winter as in summer.

I actually like the idea that the car will look visually different in summer and in deep winter... Hence not wanting hub caps either!

hmmm. Well I've spent enough on options as it is. So perhaps will just stick with steel blackies! Unless they can source silver 16" steel wheels. I already ordered both black and silver centre caps from eBay. Thus I can change the winter look every year OR make the left and right look different. Hehehe. Just kidding on that one.
