Oright Jay, how do? You'll be glad to hear I finally got a remap!

When I was doing research into what clutch to get earlier in the year, I was considering the ECS kit. You'll find the clutch kit is just a standard off-the-shelf Sachs VR6 clutch kit. The 20.5lb flywheel is just a totally standard G60 flywheel from VW, and all the bolts are pennies from VW. The only extra is the alignment tool! So the 20.5lb ECS Stage 1 kit, is identical to the setup I have. The difference is I paid £178 for all new parts, and the ECS Stage 1 sells for £363.

If I were you, and I wanted the 14lb fly, i'd get the flywheel separately and go to GSF and VW for the clutch kit and bolts. You'll save alot of cash.

Personally I'm glad I went for the G60 flywheel, as even with this flywheel you can just slightly hear the gears when your stationary and take your foot off the clutch. You can only hear it on the initial uptake though, after a second or so you'd never notice. I'm just obsessed with noises so I hear everything! I'd imagine it would be noticable with the 14lb fly, but then it would rev up quicker too!

Weights (as measured by me at work!): Original LUK DMF = 22.3lbs, Standard VW G60 Fly = 20.8lbs. So those are your off-the-shelf options. There's alot of confusion on the web about how much these two flywheels weigh, so I put an end to that argument by taking them both into work!

I'm assuming you'd get Awesome GTi to fit it, which is what I did. Great service as usual  .

Here's my thread for info: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/150787-clutchflywheel-review/page__p__1877641__fromsearch__1entry1877641

Hope that helps mate ;)

I also have one and it's all good so far (although an answer from Bodge just today might point to the opposite :(). And yea, I have some chatter too...

Andy i forgot to mention your clutch at the meet the other month as i wanted to compare the feel of your and mine.

I picked a brand new ECS stage 1 kit up for very good money so just need to decide to get it fitted now.

I also have one and it's all good so far (although an answer from Bodge just today might point to the opposite :(). And yea, I have some chatter too...

Hopefully it's not the clutch but if it is i know Sachs do an uprated 1 that will cope with 340lb ft for around £400.
