Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

The Wife's thinking of trading in her Fabia Silverline for a year old Fabia 2. One item her Silverline has is rear parking sensors and Fabia 2 doesn't.

I have looked online and there are kits for about £50 with the various colours for the sensors, but has anyone ever fitted a parking sensor aftermarket kit and any recommendations on kits / suppliers?

My father in laws Fabia2 has them. The after market ones I have seen just dangle out of boot!. Why not go for a top spec older one 58 plate?

Hi,

also think the same as I've noticed while researching the Fabia II, that there are a number of Fabia 3 spec being advertised at very similar prices (and age) to the lower spec Fabia 2.

Regards,

TP

Edit; even at the same dealer :wonder:

Thanks for the replies.

The wife only needs the 1.2 70 bhp motor as she does about 5k per year and the Fabia 3 doesn't use the 1.2 engine as far as I can see.

The type of kit I was looking at is this one: http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/dolphin_4_sensor_rear_kits.asp

How about find ing a Fabia 2 1.2 (70) with them fitted as a factory option such as My link

If you want Mercedes quality but don't want to pay about £400 I've been told that they use the same sort of stuff you can buy in Maplins for a fraction of the dealer price. The mark up is huge to pay for the shiny lights, salaries, etc.

halfords sell them and will fit them using a mobile service i think.

My dealer fitted ours on our Fabia II

They look and perform just as well as Factory fit ones

yeh ford fitted some to my fiesta st a few years back. They were exactly the same as the ones that came out of the factory on the fiesta but a little bit cheaper than a factory fit option.
