I'm soooo excited

Featured Replies

My friends and family think i'm crazy but I can't wait. My vRS gets delivered to the dealer tomorrow and I get to pick her up on Friday. Its been a difficult few months since ordering but now its great that the car has been built, is in the country and soon will be with me.

It is an Anthracite Grey vRS CR 170 TDI DSG with variable boot floor, rear parking sensors, full sized spare wheel, auto lights / rain sensor, sunset glass, bluetooth and MDI.

When its delivered the dealer will be removing the "OCTAVIA" badge from the boot lid, just leaving the vRS badge (I don't like the font, and feel it'll give it a cleaner look).

I'm considering getting a Shark STS remap when the ECU is cracked, and also if the firmware update allowing 7-digit postcode input I may upgrade to a columbus. I'll more than likely be swapping out the bluetooth module for either the new VW module or a fiscon unit

It'll be a shame to get rid of my BMW330D touring, but the vRS is just as quick and as powerful and just as fun to drive.

The dealer will be sending me some pics tomorrow as the car arrives so I'll post them as soon as they appear.

I know how you feel m8. But yes very nice piccies n like the coulor too , is that anthracite?

looks good  , roll on 1st sep

Looks lovely mate enjoy :)

How does the rear sensor option work on the Bolero? Does it just beep as you have a shot of it on screen?

Beeps and gives you a distance graphic for each sensor so give you an idea how close you are to something on each sensor. Saved me from a bit of low wall the other week.

Is that the £270 rear parking option? There a couple of different options for rear sensors IIRC?

It is indeed!!

It turned a hell of a lot of heads at work. I'm really pleased with it so far, unfortunately I'm currently on nights so I haven't had a chance to drive it properly

That's the part I like to hear emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Isn't a 330D about 240bhp therefore more powerful and quicker? I know I struggled keeping up with one once. The BMW 3.0D engine is a gem...

mine was a W-Reg 2000 model so only had about 187 bhp. It was a fantastic engine though. The only thing I miss right now though is the rear wheel drive, i keep preparing for oversteer and forget that I should be expecting to understeer

That explains it; enjoy your vRS :)

There is rear or Front/Rear option - thats all!

I currently drive a 204bhp 330d (54-plate).

I couldn't tell much difference, if any, between mine and the vRS on my test drive.

nice car.

mine just says "vrs" on the rear too.. much cleaner look IMHO.
