Of the old (pre FL) 1.9 Octy will have maxi dot and other usefull bits, I have the classic at the moment but might be changing it soon for a newer model

L&K and even then it's not a cert.

I don't think it was standard on anything except the later model L&K.

Keep in mind that maxidot can be retrofitted if you really want it, but to be honest the only feature I've seen available on maxidot that is definitely worthwhile is the flat beam conversion for Xenon lights to allow you to drive on the continent as it's a VagCOM job otherwise. Non Xenon headlights can be converted manually. If I was buying a new car I would definitely get the maxidot instrument panel, but when buying second hand it's more important to get a car that drives well and has a full service history.
