I need to fit a new colour coded wing mirror cover on my 56 Fabia vRS......can't work out how to get the mirror glass out to get to the screws which hold the old cover on, can anyone help please?

I too am interested in knowing how to remove the covers, as mine are rattling when you shut the door :(

If the mirror glass is the same as on the golf/leon... then you just have to pull it! Scary moment but its just plastic clips which hold the mirror glass in.

Saying that, it might be different because the golf/leon definitely doesn't have screwed on covers, they are just clipped on.

the glass simply pops off, grap the top of the mirror and gently pull back and down unti it pops off, don't be scared it's rather strong, then the wing mirror cover removes by 2 torq screws and with abit of a wiggle and pull it should come loose and free,

So just to confirm, the glass needs to be removed before you can get the cover off easily?

yeah the cover is held in by 2 25mm torq screws the screws are behind the mirror
