Well Kent Police came through and sent me the maintenance log for the car I bought.

The only thing I've asked to clarify is whether the cambelt change was only done at 60k, if it is I'll need to get it done again soonest.

Aside from that it's had a hard life, but been serviced every 10k - the RR showed the engine is still in pretty good shape. And it certainly needs the sump guard it has!

It was a value judgement tbh - I didn't have a lot to spend up front, but due to getting a car allowance, I have a fair whack to spend on it if it goes wrong after a few months.

Having said that it will be getting an easy life. I do about 10k a year, and most of that is easy runs to work and back (30 mins on straightish back roads at a variety of speeds) and the occasional motorway journey to my parents to blow the cobwebs away.

It did 177bhp on the rolling road at AMD on Sunday (nice profile as well), on 95RON fuel and from the comments of the people who were there, the engine looked pretty tidy. Jamie even took a hose off and put it back on better and gave the inside of the throttle body the Briskoda Seal of Approval :lol:

and the good thing is it has had the gearbox done not that long ago

I spoke to Daryl and apparently its the old Sevenoaks car, its had a hard life but to me the engine bay looked as good as new so wouldn't be too worried about the engine side of things.

Did you have any luck getting the stereo fitted? You might have to go to a dealer to get the block connector for the speakers and solder it on :S

Yup good price - paid just over £2k for it.

I'd say somewhere between 50 and 100 quid, there's at least an hour of soldering and re-wiring involved from what I can see, plus actually fitting the new stereo. Have you checked whether all the speakers are still there too?

least u know its been serviced regular m8 ... looks like had a clutch at 94000 ish too .. ... shouldnt have any probs mines on 113000 .. still original shocks and clutch without fault ... though they are on the cards just for piece of mind
