Well mine has which has the ALH engine fitted (2001 Ambiente). Are you having problems?

Not having problems just curious.

How can I tell what kind of clutch is inside?

Are they as prone to failure as some others like the Fords?

Thanks

curious about this too... when I bought mine (ALH from 2004), the dealer said it didn't have a DMF

My Dec. '01 Ambiente estate with ALH engine still has the original clutch etc. and is now on 164k miles. (I've only changed the front wishbone bushes for the first time this week!)

Well mine is the original one (clutch and flywheel) and has just turned 158k this week. Can't comment whether they are any better than Ford's etc, but really the life of these will depend on many factors like how it has been driven by previous owners and if it has been used for heavy towing etc.

yes all the ALH motors will have DMF's but they are much much better than the ones in fords (mate is a ford master tech), very rare for a problem if the car is just being used normally ie not a taxi or towing stuff everywhere everyday. mine is on 185K with orig clutch and flywheel
