Yes it works to a certain extent. It doesnt give advance audible warning that your approaching a speed camera though, just an icon on the map screen of the camera location - not much good if you have the radio screen selected at the time. Also, each time you'd like to update the database you need to burn another map DVD - a major pain IMO.

It certainly not a replacement for a decent GPS camera locator.

Try Novus.

I use a Novus Alpha, updated about once a week. Very neat unit and gives a lot more information than just speed cameras ( all types). If you see a new camera or find a spot were mobile units have started to park regular, go to the website and add details to database form.

Free lifetime updates. I also have the Novus Eye.
