Hello everyone, I bought a Fabia Vrs today and firstly I would like to say hi to everyone on here. The car itself is brill but it came with the worst stereo ever (cassette playing aftermarket minging thing)! I found the symphony cd player that comes with the car in the boot. The number on it corresponds with the number in the booklet along with the four digit code needed to activate it.

This is where the problem starts! I have connected it to the car it turns on and then flashes 'SAFE' a few times and then goes to '1000'. The trouble is it won't let me change the numbers. Now it says in the manual when it flashes 'SAFE' and goes to 1000 then it has locked out for 1 hr, now I have sat in the car with the stereo on for 1 hr and still it won't let me add the correct code. I'm struggling to understand why it is doing this? Any ideas where i'm going wrong? Help me please!

Anyone? Someone must have experienced this before? Please help guys or its an expensive trip to the dealers otherwise! :'(
