Thanks for that, but do you know how easy is it to get accessories to fit. most shops i visit, only seem to stock accessories for karcher, that's why i was going for that one.

I too am in the market for a pressure washer.. I got an el-cheapo £30 one from a local store and it lasted 4 months, so I got a refund and am now looking at Karcher..

If Nilfisk are a decent brand and will last longer than 4 months, then I'm happy to purchase one, as long as the connector is a standard fit that can take a Foam Lance.

Nilfisk is one of the better brands on the market now and seems to have a 'following' at the moment, I have invested in one for use on my own motor and have to say it's well built and really looks well laid out as well, you can get all the accessories you want with it, you just need to be looking in the right places.........

Buying a cheapo one will do what it says on the tin, not last long and you really should get a better branded machine, I am confident that Nilfisk is a good brand, one thing to remember is that people will always post up problems with Karcher's as so many people own them, this may well be the case with Nilfisk in the future, the repair service with Karcher however is very good indeed, having experieneced it myself...........

Thanks for all the help, but going back to parts, it is very hard to get accessories for machines apart from karcher, in ireland, as most places might only stock, a hose, but not any range of items.

Hello fellow countryman emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I use a bosch one i bought in a local hardware store some years ago.. It has had some abuse since buying it and the little devil just keeps on going.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

If and when it does Kick the bucket I am going to buy one of the LIDL ones.. I have seen a few in action and are superb machines with ( I think ) 3 year warranty.

Detailer.ie should have a foam lance to suit as well I reckon emoticon-0103-cool.gif

Apologies, had not realised your location so can't comment on availability of parts over the water...........

Went for the Karcher K3.550 jubilee package, and got it for £157, which includes shipping to Ireland, so althought it is expensive, compares well to the same item ifi bought it here at home, cheapest here was €245, which would be approx £200, so i've managed to save enough for a foam gun, as well.

But remember that Karcher do rebrand some of their machines for the cheaper end of the market. I have a pressure washer from B&Q that was bought a number of years ago (Performance Power) and at the time these were rebranded Karcher but in a different colour casing. It was about £30 cheaper than the same Karcher branded item (albeit it came with a single lance instead of two) but had the same type numbers etc. It has not let me down in the last 7 years or so (youch wood) so if you look carefully you can get a bargain.

Thanks for that and I am fully aware of this having owned a Powercraft unit for the past few years, sourced from Aldi, re-branded Karcher and had it repaired under warranty last month at Karcher in Banbury / Birmingham.

For the money I paid (£80) no Karcher would come close for the spec, which is now why I also have a Nilfisk due to value for money...........
