Hi guys,

I currently drive a Fabia VRS SE, and am thinking about a getting matching Octavia vrs. The only thing putting me off really (as petty as it seems) is the accelerator pedal on the octavia. I've had couple as courtesy cars in the past, and don't like the "bumper car" style accelerator pedal that the octavias come with:

Is there an easy/cheap way of swapping it for a standard style pedal?

Don't think so, as the Octavia is drive-by-wire, which means the accelerator pedal is electronic and not an actual cable

I don't think I would let it put me off buying a vRS I'd just get used to it if I didn't like it

You don't even notice any difference - i get into different cars all the time and remember when my old boss got his A3 and looked at the pedal in disgust! When i came to drive it I never even noticed!

you're not supposed to be lookin at the pedals when you drive :giggle:

The floor pivot peddle like in the Octy is much nicer. Get used it it.
