Cruise Control cutting out.

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I've noticed over the past few weeks that when I've got the cruise control on in the car and set to anything from 30 to 60, that should the car hit any sort of jolt in the road, be it a pot hole, man hole cover or even just a slight bump the cruise control just switches itself right off. It works fine again afterwards. Is this normal? is it a safety feature?

It's just a right pain, since I can't do anything about what I drive over, and would like the cruise control just to function as it should. What do you make of it?

Seems like a loose connection certainly not a safety feature! :giggle::thumbup:

Could be the brake light switch

Don't think it's connected but, recently the ABS has been very eager to cut in whenever the road is anything but silky smooth, and I'm not talking about hard braking either. Ohh dear I think yet another trip to the dealer is in order :(
