Well, I got a call this morning to arrange delivery of my Yeti for next Tuesday. It's been a long wait since I placed the order on the 9th March but I think it's been worth it. Oh, just noticed I have a dental checkup scheduled for next Tuesday, that can certainly wait.

The boat must have come in. Had phone call yesterday to say mine was here. Also picking up on Tuesday

Well to day was the day to pick up our new Yeti - car was there OK looking great BUT on closer inspection it had also an unexpected ding in the door.

Gutted is the word. :S

The sales guy says they parked the car 20 mins before we arrived - the bays are quite wide as it happens - and when we arrived it was about the first thing I saw.

I must say the sales guy was as distressed as we were.

It's not a major thing but does take the glow off the day and the new car - it's going to be sorted, inspected and re-valeted for us to pick up on wednesday - so watch this space.

sorry to hear ernie' a good friend of ours collected hers last saturday, after a long wait..and the rear quarter panel was bad scratched...im taking a magnifying glass when i collect mine lol

Sorry to hear that ernie. My car is being delivered to my home so I'm going to spend as much time as I need to check it out before accepting it and handing over the cash. I used to park my Barchetta in the spaces for people with children in supermarket car parks because it kept getting dings and because you need to open a long door fully to be able to get in. Used to get some funny looks and snide comments but I might do the same with the Yeti.

Thanks Stewart, it is a pain when people do not give the slightest consideration for other peoples property but I guess that's way some people are wired!

I'm sure it will be as good as new and I'm so looking forward to owning this great lillte car.

Thanks TP - it's more surface thing, I think, but your right about people caring. It's the colour match that concerns me most but I know all the colours have codes that allow for a good match and with fresh paint it should work out OK.
