I would expect around £5500 - 6000 mark

if I was a perspective buyer I would prefer the original wheels at this mileage

theres some mk4s for arond £10 - £11 with mid to high 30s on the thoughts do float around in my head

since we got the "family" Altea the octy has moved once i think

where as the mk5s ive peeked are about £15 - £16 with about 25 - 30,000 miles

the mk4s are a big drop in insurance and the tax too lol

I agree the mk4 looks better but the mk5 is a far superior car to drive.

If its something for a weekend toy what about a mk1 Focus RS? More of a thrill to drive and they don't half hold there value or you could get an old school Golf Rallye like this one! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1858112.htm

It was a mk5s with about 24k on them, on autotrader
