Just a quickie, as I'm looking for my Haynes and can't find it... Should the rear disc brakes on my 1.9tdi Fabia estate have a 'return spring' fitted for the handbrake to make sure pads are completely off disc when hand brake's off?

They stuck slightly few days ago and got very warm, and local garage chappie mentioned he thought it was lacking one, and popped a make do spring in for good measure.

vrs aint got them so dont think yours will either..

But you can fit them to stop the pads sticking to the disc. Mine need some springs also but I haven't got around to it yet.

I seem to remember reading that fitting the springs from a VW sharan works well.
