What colour on this Scout?

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm gonna buy a new Scout TDI. After some browsing I found this review (below).

However, does anybody see what colour the car has? It might be the light, but to me it looks to little silver to be Brilliant silver, and to light (and to little blue) to be Satin grey.

There's a gallery at the bottom of the page:

My guess would be Satin Grey, but it could be Aqua Blue?

I've just got a Scout in Cappuccino, which I was a little unsure about as it looks very brown in the brochure, but in real life it's got a lovely metallic grey quality to it that's very classy.

I've also seen a few pictures of the Scout in Black Magic, and it really suits the car. I just knew that I'd never keep it clean enough to do it justice!

Same colour for me too, so that's nice to hear as I've never seen the Cappuccino in the flesh. When did you order yours? Do you have an ETA for delivery yet?

Not only had I never seen the colour in the flesh, I'd never even seen a Scout in the flesh when I ordered mine! My nearest dealer had an Elegance Estate in the showroom that I could have a look round, and my test drive was in a 3-year old 2WD hatchback! I wasn't impressed with the dealer so ordered off the internet, saving an extra £1000. But I just had the brouchure to go on (and reviews on the net).

I ordered mine near the end of March, and it arrived 2 weeks ago. They quoted 12-14 weeks for delivery, and it came in 13.5 weeks, so pretty accurate.

I'm still driving carefully to run in it (I've done about 500 miles so far). Looking forward to a few weeks time when it's passed the 1000km mark so I can really try it out (and tow the caravan - the reason I went for the Scout)..

You were a brave man! At least there was an antharacite grey demonstrator in Christchurch for me to drive. I cannot imagine buying a car that I've never driven, based purely on reputation/online reviews.

That said, the day after I placed an order for my Scout, the dealer (the only one within about 500KM) sold the demonstrator. Now there are precisely zero Skodas at the dealership. No demonstrators, no new cars, nil, nada, nothing. So their next customer is going to have to be braver than I am  .
