Pre-Cat removal on TFSi Octavia II

Featured Replies

Following on from vRSy's recent post (see here:http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/165168-tfsi-stage-1/page__p__2018438__fromsearch__1entry2018438)

I would like some more information about carrying out the Pre-cat removal on a 2006 Octavia vRS TFSi (BWA engine) , what part numbers are needed for gaskets bolts ect

Here is a diagram of the exhaust system (from a Golf so maybe different):

Exhaust.jpg

Here is a key to the numbers:

1. Nut, (4 off) Replace, Coat stud bolts on exhaust manifold with hot bolt paste. (40 Nm) Part no - N 102 861 08

2. Catalytic converter, with front exhaust pipe, with flex joint.

3. Oxygen sensor, behind catalytic converter

4. Retaining loop

5. Nut. (25Nm)

6. Rear Muffler

7. Support ring

8. Bolt. (25Nm)

9. Rear clamping sleeve

10. Centre muffler

11. Bolt. (25Nm)

12. Front clamping sleeve

13. Nut. (25Nm)

14. Support ring

15. Support ring

16. Gasket, Replace. Part no - 1K0 253 115 AB

17. Heated Oxygen sensor

The parts that need replacing are number 1 on the diagram, 4 off nuts, and number 16, the gasket between the turbo and downpipe.

Does anyone happen to know the part numbers for these parts?

If anyone has already carried out this modification, are there any replaceable parts that I have missed out?

Any help would be appreciated.
