Am trying to find out the kerbweight of the 1.9tdi estate 4x4 06 plate and am getting different figures ranging from 1545kg to 1615kg can anyone confirm the exact weights .

I am looking to tow a caravan so the weight is important

According to the brochure, the weight is 1495kg and that is also the value in the table I posted yesterday so I'd say work on that as the figure

Technical data from the supplement to the current handbook:

1.9ltr. 77kW TDI PD Octavia Combi 4x4

Permissible gross weight: 2085kg

Unladen weight ready for work: 1485kg

I'd guess that "Unladen weight ready for work" is kerbweight

Out of interest, the other Octavia 4WD, the Scout, with the 2.0ltr. 103kW TDI CR, is 2170kg permissible gross weight, 1570kg unladen ready for work, so quite a bit heavier.

thanks mate looks like I will have to think again as the caravan is 1500kg fully loaded so a heavier car would be better
