Little history. My names Jack and have been looking for a car for about 6 months now. With my age being an issue with insurance, i couldnt enter the modern hot hatch category, so opted for looking into 'wam' hatches. My first thoughts were a 106gti, and actually came very close to buying a couple ( if it wasnt for the time wasting sellers! ). However I went off the idea once my need for reliability became more apparant. I then looked into c2 vts's, zetec s, ignis sports ( very underated car imo! ), yaris t-sports and so on. I basically thought about every supermini on the market!

I then noticed the fabia vrs. The fact it was a diesel yet was a 'performance car' got me very interested straight away. Using this website and other reviews, my interest turned into proactive attempts to drive one! I was very impressed. Yes there's turbo lag, yes the handling wasnt great, and yes the interior is the equilivilent to marmite, but I loved it!

After looking at a couple, I have finally brought one. Here's the spec:

With the sale i was given 12 months MOT and tax, service, 3 month warrenty and touch up's that would make it look a minter! I pick it up on Wednesday.

I dont have any plans as yet, but of course the idea of a remap seems too hard to resist! I worry about the strian it will put on some of the compoenents of the car however!

Welcome mate. Hopefully picking mine up on wednesday too! Im a young driver too and insurance is a bugger. Would check remap with insurance first if your tempted! I dont fancy upping my premium!

Yeah that is an issue with the remap, think ill leave it standard atleast until i fancy a change!
