I cant get my lamba down :(

Failed twice on emmisons just the lamba section.

First - Blowing downpipe 1.09

Retest - Blowing downpipe sorted and 2 new lamba sensors later 1.1

2nd Test - New CTS, New Maf and the above 1.08

Help me please :( its costing me loads now currently around the £300 mark.

Modifactions include - CIA, Turbo Back miltek exhaust & sports CAT 3" Bore, Remap (rtec stage1), EGR and sia removed.

Whats next....

It cant be the cat as the CO and hydrocarbons are well below the limit.

I was about to fail the MOT because the ingineer forgot to turn my AC off

AC is off and nothing else is running! just really annoying that co and hydro carbons are really good just lamba that is pap!

Did they say what the O2 levels were? I presume the downpipe was leaking at the cat end? In which case has the turbo end also been checked? (bolts holding it to the turbo tightened etc)

Was the Car nice and warm when tested , this can have an effect.

Also my car failed for simliar readings and this turned out to be the remap.

The Map was increasing fuel levels at the midrange right where MOT station test emmisions at around 3250 rpm.

At tickover and high revs Map was ok. This was only found out by checking the lambda readings.

I ended up getting a new REVO map at the performance centre and car sailed through MOT.

Car was upto temp a few blast's up and down the duel carriage way! Yea i have a feeling its the remap but r-tec dont want to say and im not driving an hour for them to say its something its not. I told them about the issues i had on the phone and they wanted me to leave it with them to check. Rang awesome and they said CTS and MAF changed them and it runs soooo much better! Oh well i'll have a ticket tomorrow so all is good!

Good for you. I will need a friendly MOT station next time as I have a decat on the motor now.

just go to your nearest performance car specialist as they will have loads of cars through that have decats and just ask them. Going to be sending a bill to the dealer i bought it off though.

Not any performance centres I have asked will put my motor through with a decat?? They say if it fails emmisions it fails end of.

No point putting it through emmisions as it will fail. :'(

Havent you got any tuners near? i have a couple and when i went to ask them i went in person not via the phone they would do it.

I have, but none that would bypass the emmisions test regardless of visiting in person or phoning. .

Best of luck geting dealer to cough up money.

It was getting far too much heatsoak as the workshop was very hot and the remap made it a litter richer and the AFM was doing all sorts so it needed some cold air. Not impressed though left it at the garage they did 3miles and got my mpg from 35 to 25 :(

Hehehe you can always trust garages to do that.

every time I leave mine at my local place I come back to find the mpg has nosedived and the brake discs are mirror-shiny
