Is this thread to sell a car or to get atention????

My mate has one of these maped they do ok to like 80 then my vrs pulls its doors of

good price it should sell no bother , buy a fabia

lol... funny, at all the million brisky meets I've been to the only fabia to "pull my doors off" is Jasons, and thats not a vRS ;)

Buy a Fabia? I've had one, bought it new and did 80k in 2 years, was a nice car, but the punto is better :)

thanks for the input though :dull:

Will be going in for a hybrid after Chrismas, so I don't mind if it doesn't sell....

price is good, and I could be moved on it, don't think there's an 07 plate in the country thats cheaper.

lol... yeah, I have confirmed details, I just might need it in the run up to Christmas, and he wants the car for 1-2 weeks, but its v.likley to happen, but probably after Christmas now

lol... I can keep up with Ians! your gearbox is the key, plus your "happy go lucky, don't really care if I make the next corner" attitude :giggle:

that right hander on the way up from ullswater, just before the A66 (after we'd lost all the type R's! lol..) I don't think I've seen that taken faster :o

This must be some punto

I would say it's on par (if not quicker) than a remapped Mk1 Fabia vRS

mods: please delete anything about racing at 130 (assuming on private roads........) as I wouldn't be doing that. so we can keep it on topic...

well, everyone's entitled to their opinion ;) I had a skoda vRS for 80k and it was less reliable than my grande punto, and I've now run it (the GP) to 103k, and my local, small, family owned dealer, is the best dealer I've ever been to from any manufacturer, I was so disallusioned with skoda customer service and dealers, I actually used to drive up to scotland to get mine serviced...I loved the car, but skoda customer services lost me as a customer. :p

so "sorry, but......" everyone has different experiances.

Having had a 500, couldnt you ask the company to take the 500 back & you use the GP as company car, you will get loads better mpg from the GP than you will from the 500. ( I speak from experience) emoticon-0144-nod.gif

no, I've ditched the company and gone alone again, (but I know what you're saysing, often a better idea!) which is why the hybrid option is now off....was gona cost me circa£1500 for the hybrid, went to my local fiat dealer, and was stunned to say they could supply a turbo for £475.... will cost me less than £800 all in including an oil change! they will also leave the map alone, and give me a years warrenty.... going with the standard turbo means I Know I'm good for another 100k without problems, should be able to leave the brakes clutch ect alone. may still go for some uprated suspension though....

edit: and its wierd with the mpg, the 1.2 500 needs ragging to make progress, so seems to loose out on economy, the big lazy 1.9 (314 lbs/ft) just needs a gentle prod, and still gives 50 + mpg..... 100bhp more and the same economy

with the 500 the new twinair would be the way to go...

D.P.F is a pain on the 500 I dont know if it same on all cars

ok, I have been for a test drive in the new fabia vRS, and would like to buy one, now unless I can avoid the silly trade in values (my local skoda dealer offered me £1000 below glasses trade in price!) this can't happen. SO , my car is up for sale again, in the hope of funding a new fabia vRS.... £4000 for mine....general prices for these, private with multi owners, 80k ish is £4700, mine is slightly more miles, but everything has been done to let it run for another 100k!

recent work (nothing broke, was just preventative as everything had done over 100,000 miles) is new turbo (under garuntee for 12 months) new cambelt (may as well as it had to be removed to fit the) new water pump.

everything is running as it should be. come on, someone facilitate my purchess of a new vRS!

All the best Dave :)

Thanks Len, I'm gutted, my friend (Roli, colelgue EMT) who knows and has driven my car, offered me £4000 for it, just after I decided to spend all the money on it, replacing consumables so it will be good for another 3 years and another 100k! I turned him down , and now have this tick in my head to buy a new vRS :wonder: , now he has ordered some new (terribly bad ) chrysler, based on the insignia! :( missed oppertunity, but skoda arn't getting my money if they think they can offer £1000 less than glasses trade in price for my car, that just means I'm missing out on the offer..

lets see what happens. would be nice if I can come to WSM and Jurasic meet in a new fabia vRS!

Edited by sharkrider

Best of luck then Dave, would like to see you driving a Fabia vRS again, in a sedate and leisurely way....

It'll be good to see you in the Fabia vRS

I'm going 100 miles away to a dealer with a 60 plate in stock (100 miles on the clock) if he gives me a decent price for my car, I may sign ;)
