In a week or so I should be taking delivery of my SM. With any luck it is about to arrive in Sheerness on the Isar Highway....ever the optimist. Given that our lime trees are currently at their worst producing sticky nasty stuff, has anyone purchased a car cover for their Yeti? Can't see any posts on this subject. There are a few on the market - just a case of which one to go for. I do not want to pay a fortune but at the same time I need something reliable. Appreciate I will probably also have to buy a 'stubby' aerial. Have seen the posts on those which useful.

By the way a message for TP.......There is nothing wrong with ship spotters!! I have been one for all my adult life. May have something to do with the fact that shipping has been my career for over 40 years! I certainly know more about ships than I do about cars.......

i dont trust covers...alot tend to scratch'' dust sheet types are fine in a garage.....and yeah the isar is just off sheerness as we speak im reliougously tracking it lol

Don't do it! They are the kiss of death to car paintwork. Better to make sure that your Yeti has a good covering of a decent car wax and then simply wash the sticky rubbish off every few days.

i used a paint sealer then 4 layers of mer wax see page 8 of yeti-forum-members-picture-thread (its soon after tps tow bar pics ) mine gets sticky sap on it as well washes off no problem

I find that a product such as Autoglym extra gloss protection or Turtle wax gloss guard on top of a good polish is enough to protect the paintwork for a few weeks at a time. It is a lot cheaper that the paint sealants offered by the dealers and does a similiar job. Bird muck just wipes off mine without damaging paintwork.

good ol mr sheen for me,,,,,,,cheap to buy( lavendar is nice)...easy to apply and rain etc beads off very easy, makes the car shine great.....used it in the motorbike business for many many years

Is that the normal furniture type Mr Sheen ? My Yeti is red probably roses fragrance would suit
