I e-mailed Haynes the other day to ask about the likelyhood of a manual being made for the MK2 2004-2009 Octavia, here is the response;

Dear Rich

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding a Service and Repair Manual for your vehicle. Unfortunately, we do not produce a Manual for this particular model and have no plans to do so within the next 12 to 18 months.

However, all customer requests are recorded and used in the decision making process of future Manual publications/updates.

You could try contacting your local dealer to see if he can be of assistance.

Thought it would be in our interest if everybody who was planning on keeping their car dropped them an e-mail to ask about the same manual, then maybe they will get one made sooner rather than later!

is there a mk 5 golf, 8P A3, o mk 2 leon manual, because pretty much everything is interchangable

Looking at the past range of manuals, and bearing in mind the very minor change to the facelift octy 2, I expect they will wait until the facelift is replaced with something substantially different and put both cars into one book. It's all about saving money after all, plus they need to make sure that they are going to recover their costs and some!

i did this a while ago and got exactly the same reply.
