There are loads of posts on here about painting the chrome bit What is it you're trying to do?

I was never to sure to paint my chrome piece black but look at yours Rob it looks stunning ! its a must for me now !

Did you use matt black ?

Yep just sanded it lots, a couple of coats of primer and about 4 coats of matt black.
