Hard Brake Pedal

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me why my Fabia Elegance will stop on the proverbial sixpence one time and another time it's like there is no power assistance and the pedal goes hard and you think oh s*** it's not going to stop! I've looked around the system and all looks well, new pads and discs on front last year and all's been fine until now. Any ideas?

got to have sumthin to do with the servo....not sure how your model operates as the vrs works from the vacuum control unit..

Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere.

Have a really good look at the hose and connections between the brake servo and the vac generator - there might be a split in it.

Well done you got it in one! The pipe was split on the servo end. Many thanks, Brian
