What do people think?

At first I didn't like it. I decided to go out and drive a Ibiza Bocanegra TSI to get a feel for it which I enjoyed... I just didnt like the SEAT. I love the look of the interior on the Fabia and strangely the looks on it have grown massively

On drive the deal with the spec I want its quoted me £15,500. I want, chrome alloys, metallic paint, climate control, arm rest, cruise control and bluetooth phone kit.

Anyone else as mad as me and want one?

Externally I much prefer the more aggressive looking Ibiza, the new vRS just looks far too "cute" for me. But I haven't seen one in the flesh and photos can be deceptive. Looking forward to seeing one at the local stealers.

I did have that opinion, however the more I look at it the more I like it. Rallye Green with a black roof would be my choice!

I too, had a test drive in the Bocenegra, and boy did it fly! I loved it ,although the sales bloke wouldn't let me push it too much in sports mode!

What did you think when you were test driving it, what did you think about the lower torque??................I'm interested because I have a vRS myself at the mo!

I didnt find the power all that amazing if I'm honest, was MARGINALLY quicker than my vRS but really not that much in it to give it a "wow" factor. I just like the look of the new Fabia and the cabin looks very comfy.

On drive the deal you can pick up a 2.0TFSI FL Octavia for £137 more than the Fabia I specced up. Obviously thats with no optional extra's but it is a hell of a deal!

What Car? have tested both the Polo GTI and the Ibiza with the same engine and gearbox. But they reckon they have different gearing (and reckon the Ibiza brakes weren't as good as the Polo).

So there are some differences between cars that I expected would have identical running gear... so the Fabia may be different again.

I've seen three out on the road now, they look nice but they're not quite as aggressive as you would think - I have had to do a double take each time I've seen one. Well except for the white one I saw with daytime lights on! Also seen the green (good colour!) and a red one.

Bet they're nice to drive though!

According to various reviews I have seen, the Fabia's gearbox is programmed better than the Ibiza's and the Fabia's chassis seems to be getting the best reviews of the three too (despite being on the older platform)

Next weeks Auto Express (so 14th July) is supposed to be having a review of the Vrs on British roads.
