My new Yeti arrived today - 110 2WD in black magic pearl ... lovely! I did enquire from the lease company last week when it had arrived at the dealer. 5th June came the answer. It takes them over a month to process registration and getting the legal docs to me?!

Anyway it's here. And it's lovely! The ride is better than I remembered from my brief 40 minute test drive. Twists through those A road bends almost as well as my old Civic and even though it's less powerful I don't feel it too much. It's just a different driving experience. Everyone loves the high position and kids think the tinted rear windows are great! The toys like the bluetooth phone are really fun too as well as useful. Having a conversation is so natural and easy.

So it's here and we are 'lovin it'. Off to see family in North West tomorrow so a good long run with kids. Should be good!

Finally I promised some photos somewhere so I'll try to upload with this post.......

At least I need to store the pics on an external photo sharing service (such as photobucket). The pictures uploaded there you can then add as images in your post using the code (the full command is also available for copy in the phtobucket page).

Do you know that you can edit your posts afterwards and remove the double image if you want to?

Are the rear windows the Sunset windows or do you have some extra tinting? At least on the photo from the right rear side the rear windows seem quite dark.

Yes I ordered the Gangsta Special! ;-) No really, I didn't order any extra tint. It's the standard Elegance trim. Only extra I ordered was the black magic pearl paint. That's really nice. Got good depth to it unlike a black Peugeot I used to have.

I had the same feature in my Roomster as well, but did not really use it much for listening to my MP3-player as there is no way of controlling the player. It was easier to create a CD with the wanted mp3 tracks - then I could control everything via the stereo and also get info on tracks etc. Still nice to have in case it is sometime needed...

Journey went really well apart from being blasted out by kids' video. Ride smooth tho miss the Civic's acceleration. Very different driving experience. Getting used to it. Love the relaxed drive. :-)

Hi Simon,great to hear the "beasties" arrived at last and i'll keep my eyes open for you around the Melton area. I'm still waiting and the latest news from the dealer is a build week of 33 (mid August and it was only ordered mid April) so hope to be on the road in early September! If you see a silver Yeti coming at you with the lights flashing and a grinning driver in September it will probably be me.

I'll look out for you Gary! You can usually find me on the route between Wymondham and Nottingham between 8 - 9 evey morning. You know what it looks like now! I really enjoy riding up high after the Civic. Just have to remember my overtaking limitations. I'm sure it will turn me into a more chilled and relaxed driver......

As a matter of interest Simon which leasing company are you with and when did you place your order?, to date there seems to be little pattern between models, orders and delivery. Anyway "bring it on". Thought I recognised the "windmill" and due to be working in Wymondham on Monday morning so will keep my eyes open.

It's through Masterlease. I ordered it somewhere round the 15th of March or just before. That's when I joined this forum. See you round.

Luton, Staines, Heathrow..... It's been a busy week! Already done 900 miles in new car in less than a week! Will crack 1000 by Fri easily!  Lovin my car! 

Getting between 50 - 56mpg. Better than old car. So comfortable. Always arrive fresh! :-)
