Right so had my remap done, some good and some not so good news. Car now absolutely flies, it pulls so strong with no flat spots what so ever and does not feel peaky. She was making 186bhp/172lbft before the remap with only a pipercross panel filter and Forge 007p DV so pretty strong.

After map she made 204bhp/233lbft Nick said the torque figure was bang on but I was losing power at the top end due to the MAF, N75 valve and fuel filter all not being 100% Nick said it wasn't affecting mid range just the top. He said after replacing all these I should see 210bhp. I'm going to book it back in to R Tech for them to replace all of those along with a N249 bypass.

I must say R Tech seem to know their stuff, no bull**** at all and good honest service. Would really recommend them.

Here some pics of my graph (I don't have a scanner) Don't think the heat wave helped

very cool

Did they give you a boost plot? Any idea what the peak boost is?

The power does seem to drop away a bit at the higher revs, should really keep increasing to a peak at just over 6000revs like your standard map does but as they said if its got a few weak bits on it that might be whats stopping it.

yeah that's down to the MAF, he said it can cope on the standard map due to an eco band?????? or something like that? When I get it all done I'll ask them if they will stick it on the rolling road again. I think they said it runs 19psi peak.

Good inprovement on torque figure B) Im waiting to buy a new maf to cure my problems too. Loving the yellow octys

Nice figures there Mike bet your pleased with that then are you =) and be even more pleased when you've got the other stuff sorted.

its a night and day difference. The car is so smooth that you only really get a sense of how quick it is by looking at the speedo. It pulls you into the seat and keeps you there. Just looking at prices for parts and doesn't look cheap. N75 = £60ish MAF = £80ish Fuel filter =£20?. These Octavias get expensive when you start chasing the pony's.

there not cheap just had 2 replace a fuel sensor £60 vw/audi parts not cheap, good results thought get a miltek on there non res street sleeper then

Nice one mate.. still good results even though its dropping off..

yellow octys rule!

Good resultemoticon-0148-yes.gif . MAF and N75 prices about right, just bought a Bosche fuel filter from ECP £6.30.

I wouldn't go with an ebay MAF

Was reading about MAF's and some people fit the 225 ones. What is the difference in terms of performance etc on a remapped car or are these for people with extreme mods big turbo's etc?

the 225 (s3) maf is bigger than the standard maf so doesnt fit without work

ideal if your going hybrid/big turbo route tho!!
