EBC Brakes

Featured Replies

Fitted these a few weeks back now, i know a few peeps are not too impressed with them, but personally i've never had any probs with them, used them on last car Vectra V6 and it hauled that up pretty well. Bought these because after 4 years of ownership and 35,000 miles my VRS hasn't needed any brake work doing till now, old disc were getting a little on the thin side and didn't take long too get them glowing, pads were looking little worn. Went for the USR slotted disc F+R, red stuff pads at front and ultimax pads at rear. Good job changed them the inner pads on both fronts the pad material had come away from the backing plate. Now done about 1200 miles and they've bedded in very nicely. First couple of hundred miles were slightly noisy during the bedding in process. Had a few fun fun drives out now and and have got no complaints, car stops very well when disc are hot or cold. Just need to do brake fluid change now ain't got a clue how old that is, not done it while i've had the car. So overall it's a thumbs up from me. emoticon-0148-yes.gifemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Careful how you do the fluid change, as you can knacker the master cylinder seals.

I had EBC drilled and grooved discs on my xr4 with standard pads. Found that they wore out in less than a year, while standard discs lasted over 2 years.
