Featured Replies

PLEASE HELP

I don't quite understand what you're asking? I have the Stream MP3 head unit which cycles through the inputs so it goes CD, CD changer then aux in so you choose whether you want the CD changer or the aux as far as I'm aware. If you fit one of the Dension gateways to mount the mp3 player directly then you lose the CD Changer.

i'm suspecting my radio has been swapped and car should have the stream MP3 unit.

i was thinking about sacrificing the cd changer in favour of the mp3 socket.

I have the non-mp3 stream unit which has no aux in, so I wired a jack socket into the feed from the CD changer to the radio with a switch to change from the CD changer to the socket. If you disconnect the CD changer completely, the radio will not acknowledge any sound feed to it, so the CD changer has to stay playing for this to work. Only problem I have is that while the CD changer is changing CD's it silences the radio, even if the mp3 player is still feeding a signal to it, so every hour or so there's a few seconds of silence for a CD change, which I can live with...
