ive just had the exact same problem with mine.felt like limp mode at first, then misfiring really bad.hooked it to vag com and there was no fault detected, but it was misfiring on all four cylinders.one maf meter later car is running sweet.when they go they dont always log a fault for some reason.it could be that mate,£93 exchange.

yeah it still could be your maf though. mine wasnt doing it all the time either, in fact the day i left it at the garage he phoned me up and told me he had taken the car out and gave it a good run and it was running perfect with no faults detected! when i picked it up later i didnt get to the end of the street and it was misfiring really bad. let us know how you get on with it though. by the way, mine has done 101,000 and i think it was the original maf so you havnt done too bad out of yours!

the garage it was in ordered it from TPS ( trade parts specialists ) they just do genuine vag parts. £ 93 they keep your old one and make a new one with it. in fact, i got told that my local skoda dealer gets their parts from them but not too sure about that. the bloke who sorted mine had a misfire counter on his programme. thats how he knew it was misfiring on all four cylinders so ruling out coil packs and plugs. it was still a bit of a guess but an educated one! how old are your coil packs? the early ones were awful. the newer ones end with an R. they have a date of manufacture on them as well so it could be one of them.

They won't have changed the fuel filter, unless you asked for it, as it's not on the service schedule.

You may aswell though if you're trying to rule stuff out. They only cost about £6.50, and takes 10mins to change. The filter is held on with a giant hose clip, and the fuel lines are on push connectors.

Did you replace the N75 with the correct one for your car, or one of the old slow response ones that people use to get a boost spike!

No harm in trying a new MAF I guess. Let us know how you get on with it buddy

You just have to squeeze the sides of the pipes to get them to release.

Make sure you have a spare hoseclip in case the one around the old filter needs to be replaced.

Leave the car standing for a few hours or pull the fuel pump fuse out and run the engine until it stops to de-pressurize the fuel system first otherwise you'll end up with fuel spraying everywhere.

Google it or search on here to see how the pipes work. It's well documented.

Don't force them, as they will break and you'll have to replace the whole fuel line......
