Loud creak coming from the drivers door. Started on sunday and its not shifted, going to take a look at it now.

Anybody any ideas about causes/solutions?

Retaining strap needs greasing? I've just had the same creak, takes AGES to work grease in to stop it. I used silicon grease so as not to react with rubber/plastic bits.

Apart from a bit of lube on the hinges may help. The only other place to cause creaking will be the checkstrap, its between the two hinges. If the door does not hold in 2 or 3 different open positions then the checkstrap or spring loaded rollers inside the door casing are broken and need to be replaced. As kwacka says, A blob of silicon grease may help and is worth trying first.

Sorted it, loose catch strap, can't believe I didnt spot that in the first place.
