Hi,

I was driving my 2003 Skoda Superb the other day and I heard a grinding sound combined with what sounded like a loose pulley. After hitting a pot hole at low speed it stopped...I found the clutch for the air conditioner unit in the bottom of my engine.

Anyone had a similar problem?

Had the same issue on our old mk4 Golf - the spline in the middle of the clutch hub wears out then it slips on the shaft and loosens the retaining nut.

I managed to repair it for a couple of years by swapping just the hub from a secondhand pump from eBay.
