FUEL PUMP NOISE

Featured Replies

Well superb going in on monday, noise coming from the fuel pump which is under the rear offside seat,on turning ignition key on noise coming from the area just forward of the rear right hand wheel, then on changing gear when your foot comes off the pedal (accelerator),when you have changed gear up and put the fuel back on noise is audible inside the cabin, then on stop ignition off noise is there again, sounds like a click and whirring noise, sorry my explanation of the noise is vauge but its a strange sound like air trapped so hopefully it will be sorted ,although not effecting the car's drivablity.any one else with this problem

I have a noise from the rear, and have had since new. Not sure if the noise I have is the same, but I have a buzz from the rear when the fuel tank gets below half full, especially if I'm not on a flat road. The dealer said it was the lift pump holding the tank flat, and so replaced the unit - but it still makes the same noise. I've sort of got used to it, but will mention it next time I take it in for a service - might also try another dealership!
