just a quick one

does anyone know how much different the chassis and shell of and octavia mk1 and a golf mk4 are as they look pretty similar except the octy has a bigger boot

im asking as ive seen a roll cage for a mk4 golf 5dr and wondered if it would fit in the octy without modification

anyone got an answer

The top of the bodyshell on the Octavia is different as it slopes down more gradually to the boot of the car whereas the Golf is more "straight down" at the back.

AFAIK there are no off-the-shelf rollcages available for the Octavia, you would have to get a company to custom fit one.

ok cheers for that i wasnt sure of the difference as they look pretty similar but the kit ive looked at seems to fit on to the rear wheel arches and the rear bars dnt look too steep but then again im nt sure if im looking at a mk4 roll cage probably not tbh

There is 1 company that i know of that does a roll cage for the Octavia.
