Octavia cr vrs facelift.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone'' what are the overall opinions on the cr version vrs hatchback,, ie face lift version or the previous. I am looking at the moment at vrs's but cannot make my mind up between the two, i am looking for 09 onwards, would there be much difference in the equipment levels'' i prefere to have a 6 speed manual version.

Regards.

It's an excellent car. You get a lot for your money.

I'd also say away from a Sports Bike, a good way to lose your licence too, very quick with up to 200bhp on tap it has excellent handling too; It's liked by a lot of motoring magazines too.

You can tune it up as well.

if you get a pre FL there is every chance you'll get a FL interior but pre FL on the outside - perhaps best of both worlds.

The preFL cars will probably be a little cheaper due to the effect of the FL version making it slightly less desirable. Also need to check the engine since some preFL had VR but there could be a few PDs as well.

One of the biggest inclusions with the FL (not sure if it was on the very late preFL) of cruise control as standard.

Well after looking at a handful of VR'S ,i finally found my ideal car a Octavia VRS LTD Edition 170 CR.

Love the colour and everything about it'' i was not to sure of the wheels at first but i like them now!! i think when i replace those stock springs and put some nice subtle tints on the rear quarters and a good remap'' the car will be even better.

I have had some high powered petrol cars but i wanted a good mix of good fuel economy aswell'' and some decent power and looks, the remap will i am sure make a difference!! and the springs may stop abit of the body roll too, even my 12yr old commented on the body roll lol.

Overall i think its 'a fantastic well equipped car and i think more owners of other car brands should try them, they dont know what they are missing.

The Limited Edition Octavia Vrs is a really nice colour it does suit the Octavia. They did a really good job on it

Then went to Halfrauds for the wheels...........Shame, It's the only thing that lets it down

Just my Opinion, hope you enjoy your new motor

with ref to some pre FL Octys having FL interior, does anyone know did any of them come wiht the new TSI engine in them or did that not come out until the FL was released
