Picked up my Scout from Malborough Saturday Morning (cannot complain about the service or the DTD purchasing) - great run down to the south coast and really impressed with the quality of the car and the smoothness of the drive. First time Skoda driver - very influenced by the recommendations of the forum here and not regretted it so far - stepping up from a Mini and the drive does not feel as though I am driving a big tank and the new CR diesel is nice and quiet - no tractor noises so far. Main thing is the pooch has settled into the massive boot (hatchbag lining on the way - again another great recommendation from the forum) and the missus is well chuffed with both the drive and the amount of space.

Looking forward to Mondays commute to work for once, hopefully the thumbs up for the car will continue!

Picked mine up on Friday morning Utarg. This is our 4th Skoda and 2nd Octavia. So far very pleased with ours. It's super smooth and quiet compared to our old 1.9.

Only 2 things I've noted that were a little dissapointing.

1) No sill guards on rear and it looks like you have to buy a full set to get them.

2) Theirs no tinted band along the top of the windscreen. My old Elegance had this.

Same thing here on mine though these are not much of a priority - let me know how the MPG goes as that would be of interest - i'll give you a shout if anything causes concern, so far (touch wood) it's all been ok - just need to read the manual properly to work out all the little details - yours is the artic green isn't it? looked nice on the few pic's i've seen...

Yeah it's green. 1.8 Though ;-)

Must be even smoother than the diesel then...(went for economy - got a lot of motorway driving on the commute or would have seriously gone for the 1.8)....
