Passing wires from under dash to engine bay

Featured Replies

Hopefully no kittens will be killed in the making of this post but I have researched and been unable to find the answer. It's the only thing left I need to find out in order to fit an alarm :)

As far as I can tell the loom passes through to the plenum chamber where there are plugs which necessitate removal of the wiper linkage to access. As this uses plugs and sockets, I am guessing there is no way to pass wires through without using plugs and sockets, plus having to remove wiper linkage would be inconvenient.

This PDF http://www.gamma.dk/GAMMA/ALARM/Skoda.pdf states wires can be passed through "Loom ingress: Use the rubber on the piling of the engine compartment on the passenger’s side." As this seems to refer to a LHD model I guess it is also possible it refers to the drivers side on RHD models. Unfortunately I can't interpret where exactly it means.

I am used to finding some obvious rubber "nobble" which can be cut in order to pass wires through. Thanks in advance for any pointers :)
