Faulty Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

Hi Folks

Just looking to see if any of you have had problems with parking sensors .

Sensors were working fine put car in garage and went off on holiday came back 2 weeks later jumped in car put it into reverse and parking sensor gave a 5 sec beep then just started making a clicking noise and the red light continually flashed.

Book states that this means there is a fault and dealer has to repair.

Thay are factory fit sorry should have said on my Fabia vrs 55 plate.

I have cleaned them and still the same i just cant understand what the prob is .

Does anyone have any idea and also does anyone know the location of the control unit

Thanks Whoosh

It will be a faulty sensor, they are a fairly common fault.

Either get the car scanned with VCDS for a list of all your fault codes and which sensor is faulty, or replace the n/s sensor with a new one and test, if the fault is still present then put the sensor you have just removed (which you know is now a good one) in place of the next one along and so on until you have found the faulty one.
