vRS spark plugs

Featured Replies

ok guys and gals, which plug appears to be best for the RS engine, the OE fit ngk PFR6Q or something else.

what do you use. poss going for a generic remap next month too so with that in mind??

Hi there i use ngk bkr7e in my remapped octavia vrs, have done for last 3 years with no problems,i change them every year regardless of mileage which im lucky if im doing 3000 miles a year.

If you're prepared to change them once a year, get the NGK BKR6E's (possibly BKR7E's if you plan on mapping).

Threy're a LOT cheaper than the OE ones, and work just as well, if not better. The OE ones have an iridium tip for long life, but the BKR6/7E's have copper, which is a better conductor, but they wear out faster.

HTH

The BKR's will need gapping up though. The OE's are pre-gapped I think.
