Hello :)

Have been using your posts for a few days now to troubleshoot my G/F's 2002 Fabia 1.4 Classic and finally realised that I should actually sign up!

It died (think overheated and shutdown by sounds of it) when I was away working offshore so she took it into Skoda dealership, on way in all dashboard guages zeroed and 'loads of' lights came on. Dealership diagnosed firstly "fault with coolant temp sender, found thermostat housing starting to collapse. Requires new sender and housing" and also that power steering is inoperable - which is true.

Replaced the thermostat and sender hoping that this might be somehow interfering with PAS - but no it is stll dead. Interestingly I tested the old thermostat in water and seemed to function fine and not collapsing....

So now trying to figure out what to do with PAS - the Skoda garage said replace Pump but reading the many many posts seems that most who have done this, only for fault to reoccur and that the angle sensor is actually the problem. In addition the AirBag light on dash has come on?? Can this be interrelated somehow with the PAS problem??

Having read many many posts on PAS - tempted to change out Angle Sensor first over the pump as cheaper option. Any additional advise welcome though.

Cheers

Chris
