Front parking

Bluetooth

Floor

Curtain airbags

Heated Seats

Full size spare

Metailic paint

Custom Ivory leather retrim (seat surgeons)

My question is should I go for xenons? Had them in my old scout and the cut off was massive, ask if they where set right and the garage said yes.... But never tried lower main beam of putting uprated bulbs in main beam or should I just put uprated bulbs in standard lights and save £500+, just thought that would go some was to a sat nav.

I added : PK8 - Xenon headlights and AFS II, dynamic angle control and telescopic. front headlight washers

And my god it's the best thing i have on my Scout. Driving on country lanes at night and seeing xenons turning with the steering wheel is a revelation. Do it!

Hello folks would like to say from the outset this is my first time on a forum and I am completely rubbish at posting things so may take a while to get the hang of it!

I think I am replying to someone else but may need to start own post if I can work out how to do it!

Anyway to the person who has just ordered a scout just wondered what colour you went for?

I have currently ordered

A Octavia Scout CR in Rosso Brunello

Leather Alcantara

Order not confirmed yet so can make changes Im told. what would be great is if any one can give me link to pictures of Scout in Rosso Brunello!

My dealer doesnt think so as thinks Scout standard interior better? what would be great is if any one can give me link to pictures of Scout in Rosso Brunello!

Its like looking for Lord Lucan cant find any anywhere and all dealers say is

" Iv never seen it! you would be better going with silver!"

I was hoping to be different for once as always had Vw silver but not at the cost of resale value, any quick advice would be greatly received

Have a look on here and choose your colour - looks quite smart in that Rosso Brunelli colour. Mine is black - lovely when it's clean (which isn't often).

Yes have a search on here, theres a rosso one pictured on the snow. I`m going for aqua blue... Autoexpress have one on there car fleet, looks awsome in the blue.

If you're ordering Xenons, order Maxidot too especially if you plan on driving on the continent.

Maxidot allows you to set tourist mode with the Xenon lights, if you don't then it's a take the headlights out in order to adjust the beam...

Maxidot also allows other settings to be changed that you'd require VCDS otherwise

Thanks every one for your comments and very grateful for suggested sites as this has helped although I wished I had joined and asked these questions before ordering car

This site which Im assuming is the Germany Skoda home page is excellent, and is exactly what I was looking for with the car configurator.

I am quite sure there will be a thread on here somewhere about the terrible basic car brochures and what can only be described as as CBEEBIES style web page.

As a new buyer to the Skoda market I was really put of this quality product by the low budget marketing material. Sort it out Skoda UK!

Anyway that said now that I'v seen the colours I'm not sure about the optional alloys I'v picked, as I think they make the car look a bit aftermarket bling, with the Rosso Red and give it a dark destroyer look. I now think if Im going for that colour I may need the Silver roof rails to balance it out, but then where do you stop! Help Im getting way too carried away with this buying a new car thing!

or should i just forget this 4x4 thing due to the terrible weather we have been getting in Scotland and just follow my heart and get a white VRS! Rock and Roll, just dont tell the wife!!!

I think you are wise to go for a Scout I changed from an XTRAIL to 1.8TSI Scout and it is every bit as good, smooth engine without the roll on bends.

On the colour I have Cappacino it does not show the dirt ,a friend has the Roso Red and he say's that he should have gone for a lighter colour, also the black bumpers do not show on the roso.

Re the Xenons, I have posted elsewhere that the cut off on our new Scout is rather extreme on the offside but its still to be checked by the dealer. It may have been better to have the ordinary lights & upgrade the bulbs to asome slightly illegal 100 or 120 watts. Simon has given a link to it in an earlier post

Re Maxidot its worth having, If you go for the steering wheel upgrade with radio controls it includes Maxidot & it to can be operated off the wheel.

As for colour we went for the Arctic Green + Alcantara trim & love it, scroll to the end of here
