DUTY RANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

In fairness its only a minor incursion, however!!!! We buy a smaller car and she still can't negotiate bloody corners!!!!!!!

Mission for this morning:-

Off to the Dealers to see how much to

1)Replace

2)Refurb

Has anyone used a refurb specialist,if so who was it,was it expensive and what were the results like?

End of rant..................................til the next time!!!

Sorry to hear that mate, no idea of the cost.

May be worth trying Chips Away or similar.

I bought my wife her own Furby and made sure it had wheel trims, they are only

I've had 2 sets of alloys refurbished in the past, all due to surface corrosion rather than kerbing. Mine looked fine for about a year but started to corrode again shortly after that. I doubt if the finish will be the same, colour and surface texture may be different. Cost about

If it was a bad clout on the alloy, the properties of the metal would have changed and would become brittle. This would only be seen with x-raying.

To be honest I doubt this would be the case but then we are the other side of a wire looking at a screen. Take it to a specialist and they will tell you.

Refurb from ChipsAway is about 40 squids. Had one of mine done the other day, looks good as new.

Spend the extra and get a good job done, from what I'm hearing sandblasting and powder coated is the way to go. Touch up jobs just won't last and you end up spending more (from my experience anyway). I going to get mine powder coated when I'm changing tires.

Ive done the same! on my fabia for some reason with this car i find the high dash and windscreen pillars make it hard to see the corners as you go around. Perhaps Ill get some steel wheels and deep sidewalls.

Inever had this problem with my mk2 golf gti Honest!

Might be worth trying wicked wheels (http://www.wickedwheels.co.uk - I think). Never used them but heard good things.
