search is failing me - sunglasses and bluetooth loom

Featured Replies

I suspect the information I need is here on the forum somewhere but I've not managed to find it, so...

1. Is it easy/inexpensive to retrofit the sunglass holder, or will the Golf one fit in place of the grab handles like they do on the Fabia? Or is there a better sunglass solution?

2. I'm moving my Parrot hands free kit from my 03 Octavia to the 09 Octavia. Before I pull out the Bolero for a look, does anyone know off hand if the wiring is the same or if I need a different loom?

TIA

Does your Octy not have a sunglasses holder in the centre behind the front interior lights.

as it's the greenline, no.

Unless I'm mistaken, only the elegance and L&K have it as standard

The VRS has it too and that is based on the S model. I would have thought it would not be hard to retro fit the relevant centre section.

Dead simple in the end; I ordered the sunglasses holder up when I was in getting the 1st service done.

Turned up a couple of days later, I parted with £15 and it took about 5 minutes to fit. Woo Hoo.

Shame my Oakley's are too big to fit :-(

Depends, I need to put mine in upside down to fit (still tight mind you). Won't even shut the other way.

Mine are Oakley Splice's if that helps you?

Cheers Niall. I've tried my XX-O-Matters (who names these things..?) all ways and yes they will just fit but it's a bit of a shove to close the lid.

It might be a good reason to move across the budget Next polarised ones that I leave in the missus' Fabia; not as nice as the Oakleys, but the lenses are a similar blue to the car B)
