Convenience module

1)Window switches have swapped so that they operate the wrong side of the car.

2)External mirrors have swapped so that the controls operate the passenger mirror OR both mirrors.

3)Drivers courtesy light does not work {so no lights reminder and tailgate lock does not open properly}.

4) Central Locking does not work.

5) Door deadlocks do not work.

My analysis is that these problems are all caused by the Convenience Module switching itself to left hand drive mode. Can this Module be re-programmed to RHD again?

You are most likely correct in your fault analysis. There could be another reason but this is the most likely event that has happened. Had any work done on it lately? Battery been disconected? I think you should speak with your Skoda dealer about reprogramming it. Unless someone more knowledgeable about your model than me can give you definitive instructions. You will probably need some tech equipment to do it. Incidentally, you have posted in the Fabia 2 forum...but always nice to speak to you guys! Good luck!

No reason for problems to start as have not had work done of car recently.

Thanks for suggestion. No Skoda dealer for miles but will make contact. Reliable Local dealer has closed down.

Sorry that i got to the wrong forum.

Is it still doing it?

I only ask because I've seen some of those symptoms 2 or 3 times, but (as is traditional with computers) switching everything off and on again seemed to fix it.

There was no obvious cause when it happened to me, although one day was particularly thundery so maybe something atmospheric did it.

Yes. The problems still exist. I have looked for any physical problems (such as water in connections) but it all looks OK.

I have not found the "convenience module" but reacon that it is probably under the speedometer unit. Any help would be welcome.
